Privacy policy
Play, Maestro! is made by FishFerret Games. This policy explains what information the game handles, why, and what choices you have. It covers the browser version at playmaestrogame.com, the version published on game portals, the Telegram Mini App version, and the iPhone app.
The short version
- There are no accounts and no sign-up. We do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details.
- In the browser version, your progress is stored in your own browser and never leaves your device.
- In the Telegram version, Telegram tells the game your Telegram user ID so purchases and invite rewards can be recorded against it.
- In the iPhone app, your progress is stored on your device, and purchases are handled by Apple.
- Advertising partners may use cookies or device identifiers to show and measure ads, as described below.
Browser version (playmaestrogame.com)
Your progress, settings, energy, power-ups and daily puzzle results are saved in your browser's local storage. That data stays on your device. We cannot see it, and clearing your browser data removes it.
The site and the game files are delivered through Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical details of each request, such as your IP address and browser type, to serve the files and protect against abuse. We do not use this to identify you. Cloudflare's own privacy policy applies to that processing.
We keep a short server-side record of visits so we can see how many people reach the game and detect automated or fraudulent traffic to advertising we pay for. Each entry holds the time, IP address, network, country, browser type, the page requested and any campaign tag in the link. It is not linked to your game progress, carries no cookies and no account, and is deleted automatically after 30 days.
Game portals
When you play on a game portal such as CrazyGames, that portal's privacy policy applies to the page around the game, to any account you hold there, and to the ads it shows. The game itself stores your progress in your browser as above.
Telegram version
When you open the game inside Telegram, Telegram passes the game a signed set of launch details that includes your Telegram user ID and display name. The game uses the user ID for three things:
- Recording purchases made with Telegram Stars, so that what you bought can be restored on another device.
- Crediting invite rewards when a friend starts the game from your invite link.
- Nothing else. Your display name is used only to greet you inside the game and is not stored on our server.
Purchase and invite records are kept on our server for as long as they are needed to provide those features. Payments themselves are handled entirely by Telegram; we never see your payment details.
iPhone app
Your progress, settings, energy, power-ups and daily puzzle results are saved on your iPhone, inside the app. That data stays on your device. We cannot see it, and deleting the app removes it.
In-app purchases are made through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment and we never see your payment details. The app asks the App Store which of your purchases it should restore, such as Remove Ads, so they come back after reinstalling or on a new iPhone. Purchases are processed using Unity In-App Purchasing, a component made by Unity Technologies.
The first time you open the app, iOS asks whether the app may track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. If you allow it, our advertising partners may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to show you more relevant ads and to measure them. If you decline, they do not receive it, and you still see ads, just not personalised ones. You can change this at any time in your iPhone's Settings, under Privacy & Security, Tracking.
Advertising
The game is free and supported by ads. Which partner serves them depends on where you play:
- Browser version: Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and device identifiers to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites, and to measure them. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google's ad settings, and you can read how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Game portals: ads are served by the portal through its own advertising system, under its own policy.
- Telegram version: ads are served by Adsgram, an advertising network for Telegram Mini Apps, under its own policy. Telegram users can remove ads with a one-time purchase.
- iPhone app: ads are served through Unity LevelPlay, an ad mediation service from Unity Technologies, which selects ads from partner networks including ironSource Ads and Unity Ads. These partners may collect device information such as the device model, operating system, IP address, ad interactions and, if you allowed tracking, the advertising identifier, to show and measure ads, under their own policies. You can read Unity's privacy policy at unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy. iPhone users can remove interstitial ads with a one-time purchase.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share your progress or purchase records with advertisers.
Children
The game is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Telegram version, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Clear your browser's site data to erase saved progress in the browser version.
- Use your browser's cookie controls or Google's ad settings to limit ad personalisation.
- On iPhone, turn tracking off for the app in Settings, under Privacy & Security, Tracking, and delete the app to erase its saved progress.
- Email us to ask what the server holds against your Telegram user ID, or to have it deleted.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
